There is a story about a little boy who told his grandfather: “ Grandpa, I’m so inspired that up to now you still call grandma “honey” or “sweetheart.” ”
Upon hearing this, the grandfather whispered to the grandson, “ Don’t tell this to grandma, OK? You see, I have forgotten her name!”
“Can a mother forget her own baby and not love the child she bore? Even if a mother should forget her child, I will never forget you.” (Isaiah 49:15)
On Valentine’s Day, remember your loved ones, and also the ones you find difficult to love. Share your love, offer forgiveness. That’s a good start on your Lenten journey which will start on Ash Wednesday, February 17th.
You may forget people’s names, but don’t forget to give your love to them. Be thankful to the Lord, for always and forever remembering our names. He says, “I called you each by name. I love you, you are mine.”
